Help a newbie

Hello everyone. I recently purchased Riff Box, also still trying to learn how it works. Riff Box interface pinout diagram says i should solder wires to DAT0, CMD, VCCQ, CLK on the PCB, but I cant find these points on the Riff box adaptor. How do I locate these points on the adaptor, please help. I've attached the picture of the adaptor

This is JTAG adaptor, not the ISP.
Which box You purchased, old one (black) or new (white) ?

For old box You need to get another adapter for ISP, or modify box according to schematics from "RIFF Box pinout" button.

Hello I am also new I purchase the RiffBox2 try to set it up created account but my box would not update. so basically now my riff box won't connect to jtag manager and pops up with message saying to install new drivers and green blinking light stays on. maybe someone could direct me on how to fix it?

Sorry But I am a noob. Is there a way to reset and stsrt fresh on the RiffBox 2?

Hi,
You need to instal LPC driver now.
It's located in RIFF JTAG Manager dir, "Drivers\NewDrivers" exactly.

Portable version if You want to use it on any drive. Just extract and navigate driver wizard to "newdrivers" dir.

Hello thanks for reply. But every time I try to update driver after I point to it won't install even after I remove signature. maybe I am going about it the wrong way .

There is two different modes for v2 box and two different drivers.


1. Update port mode for which unsigned driver is used
2. Control port mode for which signed driver is used


I'm not sure what You have done by now, but if LPC driver is not accepted, then box is in update mode. In that case driver is located in 64bit or 32bit folder, depending on Your OS.

Добрый день. Нужна ваша помощь, недавно купил RIFF2 box (белый).Если можно дайте пожалуйста ссылку на видео, как правильно считывать видео,фото отдельно и дамп целиком.Видео на форуме смотрел. Смотрел видео тут на форуме, но они немного отличаются(возможно версии по разные) и пока ничего не получается. Заранее благодарен, и очень надеюсь на вашу помощь!

Adapter You can order from ebay or aliexpress (search for Riff box emmc adapter)


Activation You can buy from Shop Riff box.
