Trouble with update firmware JRM 1.80

When I start JRM 1.80 the the program asks me to update. But the process can not be completed. look at photo.

When You see "Setting update mode", just reconnect USB cable.

Well I try to hot recoonect USB but it's not sucsessfull. The box already in Firmware update mode. The SW can't open port COM46

Add some info. I had resterted PC and run all procedure once again. All done:

BUT IF I'LL RUN SW again the firmware info is N\A !!!!

Set update port number to <5.

All the same. Every time when I run the SW it will required firmware update. May be need reinstall SW?

You actually never finished firmware update. There must be some sofrware which prevents JM from accessing update port, once box restarts.

Check driver date, it must be year 2016.

YES! Drivers ver 1.00 2016. look attach. Stil have a problem with FW update! Reinstal all SW

Disable services which monitor comports (phone suites) and if possible clean system from non existing devices. (DeviceCleanup V0.7.1.0 is good tool)


Once installed RIFF com port, open advanced settings and set comport number to be next to physical ports. For example, if there is com1 and com2 on board, set RIFF port to com3.


I remember that other users had similar problems if there were installed blackberry virtual ports.

I acted easier, unfolded everything on another PC WIN7 (before that everything was on WIN XP PRO). All done. Sems some trouble with drivers.
