Lock/Unlock user data partition question

I have a question about the function "Unlock / Lock user data partition", under advanced emmc menu.

In case of unlocking, which password the software is asking for ?
the passcode to unlock the phone, or the google account password of the user ?

This is about locking function in SD cards (which of eMMC is analogue).
