HTC Unbrick/Boot repair - Important information

Hi,
This is important warning, related to IMSI lock problem in latest HTC One M7 and Amaze models.

1. Before doing anything else, read 256MB backup from ROM1, even if phone is completely dead !
Use this Settings Code: 0x20010009000000000000000010000000
DCC TAB -> Settings by code -> paste string -> Apply Settings

2. DO NOT rewrite "WLAN" and "ID" partitions (HTC Partition) if You don't have backup. These two partitions contain unique signatures, which can be re-generated only by HTC smart card by now.

3. DO NOT be lazy ! Do not smoke weed :cornut: or anything else which can make important things less important !

4. DO NOT just blindly click buttons and options on RIFF JTAG Manager, if You don't know what is it for. Better ask first !

Please share this warning with Your friends, and hide it from enemies. :cornut:

@Leija, sorry, this procedure is wrong for 256MB backup:

First of resurection, make these steps, (tell me if i'm wrong Legija):

1) go to DCC TAB functions.

2) Select ROM1

3) Set "address" to 0x0000 0000 0000

4) Set "data length" to 256MB from drop down list

5) Click "Read Memory" and "Save" once it's finished

Done 256MB Bkp

I had no problem (Riff) until today.
I destroyed two one m7 because I did not see the post.

You know if I can bring back to the (htc ONE M7 smart card)

@Lignos how many time copy/paste the same post in all RIFF section too??,

When buy one New product or want try for any operaction, FIRST and not after read carefully all steps.

The spent two spots to know if the (smart card) is the board tool (htc ONE M7)

or central card . . . .

@Lignos, use google and search what's HTC CARD, nothingh in this post and other was talking about "smart card" or..."central card"

You cannot repair M7 w/o Original 256MB of BKP, also phone is totally Dead.

You cannot repair M7 with Dump file from Other working M7.

You can repair only with HTC CARD.

want to hope this time is last that ask for this same question.

As a programmer I think somewhere is a serial number of the CPU or other integrated.
Else can spend an algorithm in a partition for each device .
Thing disadvantageous in construction company. ! !
For this when copying from another device locks the SIM.

Or there is a partition with a password not recognized.

If want to buy HTC CARD only for few phones more chip price is purchase other of this M7 also with damaged display...go in sales section is the second time that write it...

i have htc one m7, when i flashed wrong firmware it goes dead means only system detects as a single sound comes. no red light no display and all. after that connected to jtag riff box and make rom1 backup of 256MB. then i do resurrection but still same
any solutions???
