my 6000 cd stereo has locked itself!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I bought a second hand ford focus (1998) which had been fitted with a 6000 cd stereo to replace the old tape player. I have just changed the battery which locked the stereo. i tired a number of ´generic´ codes and now after 10 attempts the stereo is LOCKED.

Any idea how to bring it back to life?
