You may be using the wrong code.
Make sure you are quoting the correct Serial Number as any numbers found in car documents , audio guides etc. are often incorrect.
Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number
Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Hi thanks for this advice. To be honest I obtained this serial number from the garage that changed the car's timing belt (hence why I now need the PIN Code) and they got the number from the back of the stereo unit as they have already removed it to find out if the serial numbers matched what were quoted in the Audio Guide paperwork with the car. Low and behold they do not match! But I will try the 6 & 1/6 & 2 together to ensure it is the correct serial number.
