Well I guess I have one of those units that is VIN coded, because when the navigation unit was in my original car I never had to input any code, even when I removed the battery, but now that I moved the unit to a different Laguna it asks for the code.

Thank you for your help anyway, I will visit a Renault dealer.

The radio has to be removed from the dashboard

Then quote the 14 character SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
RN* * * * * * * * * * * * found stamped in the metal casing.

Also quote the SECURITY NUMBER. This is found on a label on the metal casing in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode

If in doubt post ALL the letters+numbers on any labels or barcodes

This means it has to be electronically linked to your car`s electronics and this will be a job for your Renault dealer or a Radio Decoding Service
