Hi, just checked the serial number again and it definately is PH7850X1458504.

Sorry for my ignorance but not sure what you mean by an error code.

Am i gonna have to get the code for this from my local dealer then?

My personal opinion is that:
Your radio is new and not in the free database of Phillips!
Main Dealer or a Decoding Service only for this code!
