I had to replace the battery on my 2007 Ford S-Max so need the radio code.
Is it possible to display the serial number on screen to find out what the serial number is for my head unit, without the need to remove the facia and head unit?? When I brought the car it didn't have the radio code and I don't know what the serial number for the unit is.
My model is Ford CDC6006 (double DIN silver colour 6 CD changer factory fitted)

My model is Ford CDC6006 (double DIN silver colour 6 CD changer factory fitted)
It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321
Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number
Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing
Radio removal instructions can be found here

Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.Originally posted by Gilly View PostWell the code on my Ford 6006CDC appears to be V990076. It does cycle through a few codes when I press 6+1 together. Initially MCD_GGD5_10 then 07--00--17, then 27--06--2006 and then some others including FDC3006, finishing with the V code.
See your PM message for cheap options
Otherwise try your Ford Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service
