my mum bought a car today, and was told that the code needed to be put in

i dont have the first idea what numbers are needed so ill post all that are on the stereo

i tried the code, but i think it could have been attempted before, it says on the screen 'RADIO LOCKED' with '- - -' underneath, it says in the log book that there should be 4 ----? is there a reason for this? it also does not allow me to put any numbers in

Leave it SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself

This can take an hour or longer

its still not reset itself, had it on for hours, and through the night too.. not had anything, mum has decided if it cant be done by me with the help of you guys shes going to take it to a dealer & pay to get it done

thats what i have done, ive left it to turn its self off and when i come to turn it on i have to switch the engine on to get it back and it repeats 'RADIO LOCKED' i even went out after 50mins, turned the engine on and then turned the radio on with the same outcome, where could i be going wrong?
