I changed my car battery and don't know the radio code. It's a

ford ESCORT, radio serial code is: M005871

Help much appreciated for reply.

Hi,

Battery flat on car so need a code

The audio system booklet has a keycode on it, 4934, however this is not the correct one. (perhaps the stereo was changed).

The only info i have is what i presume to be a serial number; T324412.

The stereo is 6 disc cd stereo (ford's own) and the car is a 2003 model

Any idea of another code?

please post the serial number off of the radio can be found stamped in to the metal casing on the radio for the right code.
try this first simply turn on the radio, hold down button 6 and press 2.
The serial may be shown allowing you to easily get your ford radio code

Thanks for this. I tried it but the stereo counted down from 30 mins. The audio guide said when this happens to re-enter the code, so i did this but it has started the same countdown again.

Will this code work when it reaches zero again?

your have to remove the radio to get ther right serial
i would have said try code 9425 for the serial you have given in other post.
