Hi, I'm struggling with this & would really appreciate if anyone could furnish me with the code for my Philips CAR 400 stereo...

I got this 2nd hand and it doesn't have a display. I would also appreciate instructions as to how to enter the code and how long I have/what to do if I get it wrong. So far I tried a guess with the following procedure:

Held down the 'AS' key
Switched on the radio by pressing the volume button, still holding down the 'AS' key
<after a few seconds there was a beep sound> (good sign)
Pressed keys 1-4 to enter the code
Pressed the 'AS' key again
<there was another beep sound the same as the first>

2nd time I tried it no more beeps so I guess I am now locked out

very difficult with no display but it would be good to know at least I had the right code!!

anyways, any help would be very very much appreciated!!
