I've rechecked - and agree with RegWorts that your original manufacturer's code is 4625.
This code would only fail if your radio has been re-coded in the past, and code changed.
However, I'm wondering if correct code entry procedure has been followed?

Listed procedure - pay particular attention to point 6.

Standard Renault Radio (with Dashboard Display) Code Entry Instructions

* Switch Radio On - The Display will show 'CODE' quickly
* followed by '0000' with the first "0" digit flashing.

1 Rotate "Thumbwheel" until First Correct Digit of Code Displays
2 Press the [¬ ] button on the Stalk Control to Enter in the FIRST Digit
3 The Second Digit '0' will now flash.
4 Repeat process (1) & (2) for both the correct Second and Third Digits of the code.
5 When the fourth digit flashes '0', use the thumbwheel again to bring up
the correct fourth digit on the display.
6 You know have the correct code displayed with the fourth digit flashing.
However, this time you need to hold the [¬ ] button on the stalk control
for at least 10 seconds. This process activates the code.

If your code has been changed by a decoder, you will need to visit a Radio Decoding Service.
