hi would it fail if the 5 cd changer was not connected , i have reconnected it and the sub which has a 8 or so pin connector also would this have caused the code entry to fail

Hi there

I've been scouring all over to see if i can get a code for my radio. I had troubles with my car and had to disconnect the battery, upon reconnecting, i found i needed a code for the radio. This forum and the people look like they're doing a great job so I've come for help. I've tried random codes just to try and get the radio working and theres no code in any of the documentation i got when i got the car a few month ago.

If you can give me a code then i would be really really greatful. I'm going to be waiting a while untill i can re-enter it i guess, probably due to entering it time after time so i'm preying, if i get one, its the one.

The radio is a cassette,
BP-Nr is 7649 372 316
Prod Nr Fiat is 735 272 569

The S/N (im assuming its the S/N) - BP9372Y3630490

I have seen codes given for the 2 numbers above but i don't want to risk it without giving my S/N incase that changes things. Also, if i do get this code, can i use it again if i have to disconnect the battery for some reason?

Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" FIAT " Followed By " CODE "
Rotate RH Tuning Knob to Select 1st Digit
Press RH Tuning Knob to Enter
Rotate RH Tuning Knob to Select 2nd Digit
Press RH Tuning Knob to Enter
Rotate RH Tuning Knob to Select 3rd Digit
Press RH Tuning Knob to Enter
Rotate RH Tuning Knob to Select 4th Digit
Press RH Tuning Knob to Enter
If the correct code number is now shown

I am new to this site as the mrs has recently been given her mother's old Punto, and after looking around the site I feel it may prove beneficial for tips etc etc as I have had to have some work done on the car already (reckon the mother-in-law to be knew?! lol)

...anyhow one of the first replacements was the battery which failed the AA roadside test with flying colours! With this came the problem of the radio code which at some point over its 10 years on the road has gone missing and as it seems you guys are able to work magic it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me get the four digit code based on the following info:

Stamped on the side in the metal:
BP9372Y1178322

Printed on a sticker on the top (2 numbers):
BP-Nr. 7 649 372 316

Prod.Nr.Fiat 735 272 569

If you can help me with this it would be a great help (and it would get 'her indoors' off my case! lol)
