  • Please help with a radio code

Please help me with the code for an old used Blaupunkt car radio I just purchased for a vintage car restoration. It is a shaft style radio.

    Blaupunkt Boston SQR49
    Serial Number 20007764
    Warranty Number X202806371R

It uses a 4 digit code. It is hardwired by the factory and cannot be changed by the owner.

It was manufactured in 1989 approximately. It is an old style digital shaft style, knobs.

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER required for a code
First remove the radio from the dashboard.
Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes and a 14 character Serial Number stamped in the metal casing.

Maybe this radio is too old to help me?

      Blaupunkt Boston SQR49

SERIAL NO. 20007764 is stamped on the side. It does not have 14 digits.
It also says Warranty Number X202806371-R

I suppose there is no help for this? Is that correct? Thank you very much for your answer. I have the radio out in my hand but there is no 14 digit serial number. These radios were sold by Crutchfeild as an after market and was installed in a 1976 BMW 2002. But the radio was probably manufactured in 1989.

Also I see no bar code on it.

        Radio Decoding Service Needed?

If I need a Radio Decoding Service to get this unit to turn on, how do I find one? Local car stereo expert I spoke to said he cannot help me. Blaupunkt no longer gives out the code for this old unit, and he cannot reset it or anything like that.

So I need someone who can read the EPROM, and either decode it or reset it? How can I find anyone capable of doing that?

        Thx
