megane fuel gauge needle

hi can any one help my fuel gauge needle came of when i was getting white clock covers put in now i try to set it to a certain position and it keeps reading low is there a set position or way to put needle back on as i need my gauge wurried i run out of fuel thanks very much:banghead:

Fill your car tank with fuel then put the needle back on in the FULL position
