Last code worked but the radio died so I am buying this one from a guy in California but want to know if it uses a code or I have to take it to Mercedes to unlock before I buy, if I have to go to Mercedes I am not buying it, the serial was sent to me from the owner, can give you his email if you like, I don't have the radio as yet he is making sure it powers up first.

If this is fitted in an Alfa or Lancia then it requires a Siemens code first then a Becker code.

This is a job for your Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service
