    Just trying to learn something here as I am new to this forum.
    If the display on a BP radio shows: display safe and the wron code is entered
    more than 10 times could the eprom be read and an original hex be programmed
    in? In other words - what do you do if the display never gives the chance to enter the
    code?

    Yes...resetting or swopping the EEPROM dump will work.

    The alternative option to try first is leaving the unit SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself.(In some cases over 24 hours)
