Hi.
So, a quick search on this forum shows that anyone with a Philips stereo in a Vauxhall is almost invariably told that the unlock code won't be available online.
In my case, I've got a 2001 Astra Coupe with a Philips CCR600 stereo in it. I recently had the starter motor replaced and it came back from the garage asking for unlock codes. I found 2 codes in with the paperwork which I was given when I bought the car. One of them unlocked the radio but neither code unlocked the CD player.
What are my chances of a free code being available from here if I go and get the full S/N? If it's a certainty from the information I've already given that I'd need to go the main dealer or Radio Decoding Service route, I probably shouldn't risk trying to get the stereo out of the dashboard... I mean, at least at the moment I do have the radio, lol.
