hi have a locked up stereo on my ford escort s reg after having some work done can't find the m number , when i push the 6 + 1 buttons together it gives me this mgp djs 4-04-04-03-06 ? is that any use for getting a code ? please help silence is driving me insane

If pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 does not display the correct Serial Number then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard in order to find the correct SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing
