First check Security code G990 if it's correct!

Note that code entry is only possible when a number is flashing in the seperate display.
If the display continually shows "CODE" then the unit may be codelocked and will need
to be left switched on up for up to two hours to reset before another code entry attempt is possible.
If it does not reset after this time, then all of your code entry attempts may have been used up,
and the unit will need to be sent to expert service to be decoded and reset.

Code Entry as Follows:

Switch Radio On - Display Shows " CODE "
Then " 0000 " with the 1st digit flashing

Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
Press " ¬ " On The Stalk Control To Enter
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
Press " ¬ " On The Stalk Control To Enter
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit
Press " ¬ " On The Stalk Control To Enter
Rotate " Thumbwheel " For Correct Digit

If the correct code number is now shown
Press And Hold " ¬ " Until A Beep Is Heard

Without steering control:

Press preset 1 repeatdly for the first number
Press preset 2 repeatdly for the second number
Press preset 3 repeatdly for the third number
Press preset 4 repeatdly for the fourth number

Press and hold preset 6 for 10 seconds to store code, note, some radio model uses preset 5...

Sorry, for the trouble I caused! After all the code you provided worked a treat!! My bad I had written it on a piece of paper that caught some rain that messed the PIN... I'm now conviced to have entered 5281 instead of 5231 on the first 2 atempts...

Could you please help me too: When I bought my 2nd handed Renault Megane II Break back in 2009 I was given the information from a Renault dealer that my car had seen the clutch and The original head-unit replaced both under warranty... As I was given the original owner guides that contained the sticker with the original radio PIN and a written 4 digit code I assumed that it would be the PIN for the replacing HU... Sadly I was wrong...

Could you please help me too: When I bought my 2nd handed Renault Megane II Break back in 2009 I was given the information from a Renault dealer that my car had seen the clutch and The original head-unit replaced both under warranty...
