Hi many many thanks,
A little story about this which somebdoy else might find useful, I bought the ford Focus with the radio reading enter code and 4 dashes flashing, but non of the buttons would allow me to enter anything at all .

It has been in the freezer for two nights and then allowed to thaw out all day, inserted tonight and all is fine I entered the new code and it all works fine.
