Can anyone hellp with an unlock code for the following Blaupunkt radio cassette set installed in a "P" reg Renault Clio. Bit old I know, but worth a try, as I love my "sounds", and the old Clio is a good runner who's been very kind to my wallet over the years

Sowi - thnaks for the code. Didn't unlock the radio though. Is there a particular procedure to follow, or something that I might be doing wrong (inadvertently?). Any other information from the radio you might need to crack it?

hi code is 4003 for your renault
You must hold at the end to store your code.
IF YOU DONT HAVE ¬ KEY THEN PUSH THUMBWHEEL IN AND SOME HAVE {A¬} KEY

Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE'
Use the steering controls for code entry.
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit
If the correct code is now shown on screen,
press and hold the [ ¬] button for up to 10 seconds to store the code

If it`s fitted into a Renault try code 0017

Yes it is fitted to a Renault Clio. Tried entering the 0017 code but it did not work. So pressed "6" for about 10 seconds after entering the code (per previous (old) thread. Now display shows "_ _ _ _" rather than " Code" and does not allow any inputs.

Any ideas?

please check BP4496S5588799 if the 4003 code is not working with whats stamped in to the metal casing on the back of the radio.
Please note that code entry is only possible when "CODE" is shown in the display. If the display continually shows four bars " - - - - " then the unit may be codelocked and will need to be left switched on up for up to two hours to reset before another code entry attempt is possible.
Code Entry as Follows:

Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" CODE " Then " 0000 "
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit

Managed to get the CODE back using your tip to leave the radio on for a couple of hours. However, entering 4003 as the code still does not work.

So I've checked what's stamped into the radio and it is BP4496S5588799, which is the same as quoted in the original thread. (Note 7th character from the left is an "S" as in snake, not the number "5"....)

Not sure where I'm going with this now...

Any further suggestions?
