Renault Laguna 2 radio Code

Hi there, I am new to this forum, so please treat me gently.

I have a Renault Laguna 2 with the log book etc, and I have a code for my Radio. However, after replacing battery, the radio came up with its expected 0000. so I entered the code 4427 in the usual way and it was not recognised, which was a bit odd. after carrying this out 3 or so time more, just in case I was losing the plot, the radio now displays "error".

After resetting the radio, ie disconnect the battery again, and going through the same process the code still does not work. So I am suspecting there is an issue with the code itself.

Can you help me with a code for:

Renault Laguna 2 2002

14 digit serial number: RNRD0220000025

15 digit barcode security number: 8200248100TW257
