lost code for a clarion car radio

did,nt have code when i bought car now its beeping all the time, think it needs code to reset. can anyone help please.
its a clarion model no- PU-2471AJ.

Hi

If your stereo is simply BEEPING I can confirm 100% that your stereo WIL NOT be CODED

In other words it will not require a code at all.

It will need to be taken to Peugeot for them to Re-set the Firmware within the stereo but it not need a code.

Members are correct.. radio doesn't need a code, it is VIN/IMMO coded.

The radio will beep if

(1) not the original radio for the car
or
(2) sometimes if battery charge has been low.


Assuming it's the original radio VIN coded to your car... make sure you've got a fully charged battery to begin with.

Disconnect the earth lead from your battery
Wait at least one minute... I usually wait bit more.

Re-connect.. and this will initiate a boot sequence, where the car's computer will communicate with the radio and recognise it.

The beep will go away.

i tried disconnecting battery, didnt work so will have to take it to peugeot to be reset. I live the uk so hopefully they wont charge. thanx for your help guys.
