I still cannot enter the code though, it has the word "CODE" on the display and just beeps whenever I press any button. I have probably messed the entry code up trying too many times perhaps?

Hi, my battery went flat this week and only now is it I realise that I didn't get an unlock code - I've searched high and low in my service manual and guides but nothing... please help!

Not sure what details you need, but here's everything from the sticker on the side of the radio:
