I've just bought a replacement stereo for my 02 freelander and need the code for the stereo.

The serial number is RG597W11085433.

Is this a main dealer job or is there hope?

Sorry....will only be available from the Main Dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service to obtain this code

It will not be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet
