3rd hand astra, came with everything (spare mudflaps the lot) but not the code!

Tried two different companies online now at £10.00 out of pocket and still no working code, can you advise me please? I took the 12 cd interchanger out cos i want to just use the paddles on the wheel but neither of the codes given work the serial number is GM0500317835546 thanks so much for any advise (which will probably use the 12 cd changer and bin the original cd player!) xx
