I've recently had some work done on my car, and they have disconnected the battery and now I can't use my stereo! I have tried the code on the book, but it doesn't seem to work. I hope someone here can help. My stereo details are as follows:

quote the SECURITY NUMBER. This is found on a label on the metal casing in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode

Make sure you press the final button that stores the code for at least 10 seconds

If it displays ERROR then your radio may have been recoded to a completely different number

(Note :If you don`t have the [ ¬ ] button then push the thumbwheel in and some will have an [ A¬ ] button )

Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE'

Use the Steering Wheel Remote Controls for code entry.

Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit

If the correct code is now shown on screen,

IF THERE IS NO STEERING WHEEL CONTROL , THEN USE THE PRESET BUTTONS ON THE RADIO

I tried it already and I do have the steering wheel ctrl. I guess it was reprogrammed I guess my worst case scenario is sitting and trying 10,000 different combinations
