thanks for looking, found another 4 digit 2163 no on the 1st page of the sevice booklet in pencil & underneath it was written 4AU, worth a try i guess

Just bought 2003 vectra c with radio in safe mode, found a code written in hand book but when entered didnt work, tried again no joy have 6 ties left.
