As I don't have the manual to my factory fitted CD/Radio I started to trawl the tinternet to find out how to get it out of safe mode and was pleasantly surprised to find this forum full of generous members, helping folk such as myself with this issue.

Vauxhall charged 25 pounds for a code based initially on the chassis number given which didn't work, I then wanted to know why the code didn't work, the dealership asked for the GM number from the unit to re-verify with a third party company and confirmed the code 1830 as the the right code for the chassis and GM number.
