Hi,
I have the above radio installed in my Mazda MX5.
As it is not a Mercedes Benz vehicle will the VIN be needed, or can you give me the unlock code based on the serial number only?

The serial number is AL 2199 X 01 69306
It is an ALPINE radio/cd for Mercedes Benz.
The model number is MF2199
There is another number next to the Mercedes Benz logo on the sticker which is A 170 820 01 86

Any assistance gratefully received.

These Alpine codes cannot be calculated.

Your only option is to take it into a Radio Decoding Service.....or buy another radio with a working code

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

First remove the radio from the dashboard.

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels,barcodes and a 14 character Serial Number stamped in the metal casing.

This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

Sorry....your code will only be available from the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet
