Fiat Punto High CD "CanCheck" error

Dear all

I have recently purchased a Punto car radio/cd player from a scrap yard.
So I have no access code but the main issue is, its is displaying the CanCheck error message. I have read a few threads about this but as I am new to this, I do not know how I can get a "dump" the Punto I have does not have a lead to go into can thingy.
The unit I have is a
Fiat Punto High CD

Any suggestions welcome, I am quite handy with a soldering iron and can build a little circuit as mentioned in some other threads.
