After switching the display shows 'SAFE' followed by '1 .. .. .. ..'

Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the fourth digit

To save the code press the [ EXPERT ] key for a few seconds.

'SAFE' will display briefly and the set will operate.

shows the display only 'SAFE' , is the unit code locked !
As long as the display indicates "SAFE",
the waiting period has not yet elapsed.
The waiting period is over when the number
of the next attempt is visible in the display, e.g. "2 - - - -".

During the waiting period the car radio needs not be switched on, but it
must be connected to the permanent plus terminal.

The waiting periods between the individual attempts is, 1= 21 sec. , 2 =1.5 min.,
3= 5.5 min., 4= 22 min., 5= 1.5 hrs., 6= 6.0 hrs. ,7= 24 hrs.
Waiting period after the 7th attempt is always 24hrs!
