This stereo is often referred to as a "Married" or "VIN CODED" radio,
as it does not have a normal security Code number, but is instead electronically
paired to the engine management system of the vehicle it came out of,
and as such cannot be easily transferred from vehicle to vehicle, even if it is the same model of Car.

        Thank you for your reply

You say "it cannot be easily transferred", Does this mean it can be done?

        Many thanks

          Another Xsara Radio Code

          Gents.

Hoping you may be able to help.

Radio out of a W reg Xsara

No idea of make (not marked)

Stamped into the metal casing is:
          PHACDFV8000708

          On a white sticker is:
          22RC465/35S
          9022 314 65358
          M/ch: 000758

          There are 6 square boxes below marked L, M, C, D, RQ & RQ

There is a red 4 stamped in the 'L' box
There is a 127 in black stamped in the 'C' box
The numbers 3111 186 94130 are in the bottom corner of the sticker.

There are no other markings anywhere, however there has obviously been a sticker on top that has been removed, and similarly a sticker that has been removed on the bottom.

                            Citroen Xsara Radio Code

Hi, hoping you can help - had a fuse blow on my dash instrumentation rheostat, and then removed the radio fuse by mistake!

I've taken the radio out and show below all the numbers on it. There's a clear glue stain on the top where somehting used to be stuck [but no longer] and no visible barcode, sorry!

Stamped into the metal and highlighted in red:
                            PHACDEX0001662

On the label on the right hand side:
                            22RC465/35S
                            902231465358
                            m/ch 081955

There are then six squares marked L,M,C,D,RQ,RQ and in the bottom right RQ box there is 3111 186 94130.

On the plastic housing of the power supply there is sticker with 9909 11903 and then 15 below the 9909.

Those are the only numbers on the radio - I hope you can help.

                            Many thanks in advance.

                            Nick

Hi Thanks for trying, but unfortunately that didn't work. Radio now seems to be permanently showing #2 ERROR.

Is there a way out of this? Any help much appreciated.

                                Thanks.
