Hi, I had to replace the battery in my Citroen berlingo van and have now got problems with my van (recently bought 2nd hand with no info re radio code. Would very much appreciate any help to unlock the radio cassette. many thanks.

Hi, thanks very much for replying so quickly. I'm not a techie, and not really sure what you mean. I have the vin number (long, and beginning 'vf'). How many numbers are there in the code? And what does 'tox000 code out' mean? I'm very grateful for your help, feeling a bit dim!

your radio is vin coded. = ( T0X000 )
This stereo is often referred to as a "Married" or "VIN CODED" radio, as it does not employ standard Code technology. This unit is security coded to the Immobilisation Control Unit of the vehicle it came out of, and as such cannot be easily transferred from vehicle to vehicle, even if it is the same model of Car. If fitted to a different car it may simply beep or not power up at all, if fitted to the correct car then it will power up straight away and function as normally.
