  • Smart Roadster code input

Hi all, I have a Smart Roadster that needs the code inputting - I have the code - when I switch the radio on it say 'Safe' then quickly changes to 1 -- -- -- -- I have followed the instructions in the manual but when I try to input the code it only lets me put in two numbers (the two to the right) whatever I push after that just changes one or other of the numbers to the right. This board has been very helpful to me before does anyone have any ideas of what is going wrong here? It is a Grundig head unit.

    Many thanks in advance

I've had a look at those instructions and they are the same as are in the manual, the problem is that I cant input more than two numbers So, for example the furthest I can get is to make it look like 1 -- -- 1 1 whatever you press after the first two go in just changes the existing numbers, no more can be entered. Has anyone come across this problem or have any ideas?

If you are following the Code Entry Instructions exactly as it states in the Manual then it looks as though you might have a faulty radio perhaps?

Yes, I'm doing it exactly as stated, I guess the unit has a fault, just wondered if anyone else had experienced this? I'll take it out and get a repair shop to look at it.

            Thanks for your help.
