just called audi customer service, gave them VIN, Radio Serial Number and owner information and they called me back within 30 minutes with the code.

My starter recently burned out and now radio is locked. So 2 questions.

First will i be able to retry code entry if i leave the key in for an hour with the radio on?

Second I notice that codes for 1Z7 usually fail here. I bought refurbished Gamma CC with Serial AUZ1Z7S5467366. Is there a way to get the code for this (Somehow I failed to record or subsequently lost the code I got when I bought the refurbished radio)?
