the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet
is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
C 7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service
or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
inside your radio

which is displaying "check" i dont know what this means,
i also dont know what the code is and i need the code .

If you are trying to fit this radio to a different vehicle, then you may find yourself with the Error message of "CHECK". As well as having a conventional Radio Security Code number, this stereo is also electronically paired, or "Married" to the engine management system of the vehicle it came out of using very sophisticated CAN-BUS system technology.

When it is first powered up, it will communicate with the vehicle, and a message of "WAIT" may appear on the display whilst this process is in operation. If communication has been successfull, it will prompt for the Code number to be entered in the normal way.

However, if removed and refitted into a different vehicle other than the original one, it will not recognise the encrypted CANBUS identification of the new car, and will instead display an error message of "CHECK".

This Radio cannot therefore be transferred from one car to another, unless it has first been reset back into its original "Delivery Mode" with the CAN-BUS data memory reprogrammed for use with the new vehicle.

thank you very much i bought the car 2 weeks ago and there was no power to my radio at all and now i took it back to the dealer there is and it does look like a different stereo so most probably why thank for the code i will try and if not will have to buy new stereo
