Radio code for a ford cd6000 - m000278 please

Hi new to forum.
Have spent all day reading threads and fascinated at how easily everyone has got codes and it has worked for them.
I have just bought Vauxhall Agila for my daughter. Battery needed replacing and owner did this but then tried seven times to enter code . I tried once more having waited the allocated hours to be able to imput it but to no avail. Today I paid for the code via website as I was sure it was wrong and alas was given same code.At the moment I am down to" 2 safe" and don't know what to do.

I reckon so.

I turned on radio it said "safe" so went to manual. Turned off radio turned on ignition. Held AS while turning radio back on and it said "3safe" so waited about 3-4 hours and display changed to ----. Entered code and then pressed AS until bleep then it said "safe". Fed up and went to bed and daughter imagining life without music. Renewed energy got up this morning and paid to get same code from website!!! Turned on ignition pressed AS while turning on radio and "2 safe" came up. Really fed up spent literally 12 hours searching for answer.Husband panicking that we will get to "0 safe" and I'm reluctant to try again.
Did you get the same code?

Your code 4287 is correct for serial number supplied.

From what you describe, and providing your serial number quoted is correct - your radio has been re-programmed to another code
in the past. Yes, by a radio decoder. They don't do this deliberately - often they just replaced the memory contents of the security
chip with that of known code.

Take your radio to a decoding service (found in YellowPages) who will read and reset the contents of the eeprom/security chip.

the serial you post is it off of the radio and not out of the manual.
can be found stamped in to the metal casing on the radio.
