thanks buddy, doing my head in trying to find a code. Seems the cd player is hard to get codes for, for free anyways lol!

Unfortunately the majority of SIEMENS/VDO codes (including your CDR 2005) will NOT be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database…which is not commercially available..

Try your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

We don`t like to recommend anyone because most Internet Decoders will NOT refund your money if the code they give you does not work (so the risk is yours...and the cost will be over £20)

The best bet is a local Decoding Service such as your local Car Radio Store who will get it working while you wait.(for around £15>£25 )

If not then try blagging it for free from the Main Dealer...or look for a Decoding Workshop via Google or Ebay...but be prepared to pay ! (plus p+p costs )

hmne not good I hate vauxhals was the gf idea to get one now I got a porsche and am single. the carburettor needed remapping with a computer and the imobiliser did several times bad electronics all round. Still there are people out there who can do this I have a cdr 500 but it has not even got a serial number on it that must have dropped of. got a removable stereo in the porsche with a line input on the front so I can input anything via a simple jack plug
