Can anyone tell me where I can find the serial number needed to get my code ? Do i have to take the radio out to do this?

yes you need to remove the radio to get the serial. can be found stamped in to the metal casing on the back of the radio.

Also, is there a particular way of getting the radio out to see the numbers? I worried I may break it.

Blaupunkt is a make. if you take a look at the link it will give you an idear how to remove.
ps. use an old metal coat hanger then post the main bpxxxxyxxxxxxx and 7xxx xxx xxx off of the radio then i can help you. can be found stamped into metal casing.
