Blaupunkt CD 300 radio code

Good day all.
I have just purchased an old Vauxhall Vectra,fitted with a Blaupunkt CD 300 radio.
It's been changed at some point as the code dosen't match the one in the vehicle handbook.
Can someone let me have the proper code for CD 300 D (RDS) :-

Unfortunately I have lost most of the characters on the display. Although I am absolutely certain that I am inputting the code in the correct manner, it is still not activating the radio.
I think I will have to accept that the unit is no longer functional and I will have to find another radio for the car.

You can enter the code "BLIND"by adding an extra push of the button to each digit of the code

So 4 0 3 3 = 5 1 4 4 presses of the buttons

Yes, I was aware of that and entered the code that way. The radio still dosen't burst into life and I'm sure it's been entered correctly.
It's as though a quota lock of some kind has been set on the radio. Especially with the limited display showing what looks like apostrophes and vertical lines.
As I said last time, looks like this one is heading for the bin.

Press AS plus ON button ...then leave it SWITCHED ON ..UNDISTURBED overnight (11 hours minimum )on your workbench and it should reset itself

I lost my code to my Vauxhall Astra when the battery died, its taken me a hell of a lot of work to get the radio out I'm really hoping that someone can help give me a code to make it all worth my while.
