Hi, Just changed the battery on my Fiesta. Went to enter the code into the radio that is on the card in my manual and it wont accept it.
According to the card the serial No is V278604 and the code 8382 but this doesnt work. I'm pressing "1" 8 times, "2" 3 times, "3" 8 times, "4" 2 times and 5 to enter the code. I have no removal pins to get the stereo out to check the serial no. Can anyone help?

Serial Numbers and codes printed on cards or in the Audio Guide are often incorrect.
The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Here is a video showing how to remove a standard radio from the dashboard.
A pair of extractors are required (available from Ebay etc ) but these can be made from 2 pieces of bent, wire coat-hanger or 4 small drills(using the blunt end) or 4 small Allen Keys or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4 darts.

An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4
securing clips

Tried the hold 6 and 1 and it cycled through a lot of numbers. last was v317777 wouild that be the s/n?

Unfortunately Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.
