Radio has error message on display will leave till morning then try again.

IF YOU DONT HAVE ¬ KEY THEN PUSH THUMBWHEEL IN AND SOME HAVE {A¬} KEY

Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE'
Use the steering controls for code entry.
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit
Press the [ ¬] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit
If the correct code is now shown on screen,
press and hold the [ ¬] button for up to 10 seconds to store the code

FOR NO STEERING CONTROL
press the first preset button for the 1st digit,
second button for the 2nd digit
third button for 3rd digit
forth button for 4th digit
then press buttons 6 OR 5 to store. for 10 seconds

note the radio does not lockout after a wrong code entry it only doubles the time to wait before
the next retry...if a wrong code is entered it will display error then after the delay should display "0000")

Still the same this morning ERROR on display. Can this be cleared.

I need the radio code for my Modus. I called a dealer and they gave me the code but it was not correct, then I have gone to other Renault dealer personaly, with the VIN, and they gave me the same code: 2665.
I don´t know if the radio was changed. I have followed the instructions in the radio book, and after pressing 2 and 5 simultaneously and turn on the radio, to reset, there is a beep every 3 seconds during 2 minutes, and then appears "CODE" and 0000 but the code 2665 doesn´t work. I don´t know if can be other problem. I have just changed the battery.
