      Hi,
I am new to this site and have just registered.
I also have a philips ccr600 head unit. Over the winter the battery on my vauxhall has went flat and now the radio is saying safe.
It would be greatly appriciated if you could help me out with retrieving the code so it works again.

      it is a phillips 326559176
      No. 24455380
it has this number stamped on the casing of the radio itself.GM060011381725

      many thanks in advance.

      chris

Blimey, my spelling! What on earth was I drinking ??

Thanks for trying to find a code for me - out of interest, why are some code "findable" and some not?

With the majority of Philips radios ( and Grundig) , the codes are not calculated , but looked up on a database. ( The exceptions will be later radios fitted in Renault, Peugeot and Citroen )

The database available only goes as far as year 2000/2001 , anything newer than that means that you have to go somewhere that will have access to the full factory database. This usually means the Main Dealer ...but there are at least a couple of the larger Pro Decode Services that also have access....but they tend to charge £20 > £25 with no guarantee (or refund !) that the code will work

The better option is a Radio Decoding Service who should guarantee getting your radio working again by reading the memory chip inside the radio.

Check your Serial Number again because GM0600Y1219942 is NOT in the available database
