can any one help me for this radio ,i have instaled a new one original in another car opel astra year 2005 but the display say "dislpay safe"what can i do please!

Leave it SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to reset itself automatically. This could take several hours

I've not heard of this before, I thought they were married to the ECU of the car that it was taken from? You have to have them reset to "new" state then reprogram them with Tech 2 or other eqiupment, the code is the same as the immobiliser code, but I could be wrong!

It will depend on the make+model and how old the radio is.

Recent ones may be coded to the ECU but older ones with SAFE on the display can be reset as stated.

Hi,Yes but his says "Display Safe" so I think it will be married to ecu.
