Out of interest, is there any particular reason why some codes can be found and others not?

The dealer who'd serviced the car for many years was very helpful with service info today so hopefully I can sweet talk them into a free code :-) £25 to be told a number seems quite steep!!!

Hello lovely people, I've just bought an Astra with a Philips Car 400 stereo in it and need a code as the battery has been disconnected.

The serial number is GM0400Y2968704

Number on the big sticker is 09 136 106
