Unlock Code Required

I have had to replace the battery in a Renault Clio first registered in Sept 1999 and the stereo is asking for the unlock code.

I don't know the serial number of the stereo as I don't know how to remove the unit to view the serial number which will be labelled on the back or side.

The unit is a Renault radio cassette with the option to attach a cd stacker that I believe is the standard model for the Renault Clio Alize

The VIN number is VF1BB0S0F20857394 if that helps. Other than that, can someone tell me how to remove the unit so I can get the serial number

I've managed to extract the radio and identify the details so I just need the unlock code.
