hi can anyone please help. i just bought a 2005 scenic and the radio is coming up with an error message will this reset after a certain amount of time and what can i do about it many thanks

Leave SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automaticall reset itself

This can take an our or two.

Make sure you have the correct working code.

If not sure get it checked here

The radio has to be removed from the dashboard

Then quote the 14 character SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
RN* * * * * * * * * * * * found stamped in the metal casing.

Also quote the SECURITY NUMBER. This is found on a label on the metal casing in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode

If in doubt post ALL the letters+numbers on any labels or barcodes

Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
C 7000000 + + + + on a separate label somewhere on the metal casing.
(Note ...not beginning with CL.)

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio

As you have already been told ....Sorry....will only be available from the Main Dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service to obtain this code

It will not be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet
